About Karuna Retreat Center

Karuna Retreat Center, a non-profit organization, was inspired by the teachings of HH Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, HH Dudjom Rinpoche, Kangyur Rinpoche, and Tulku Pema Wangyal Rinpoche. Dr. Balkrishna Maganlal conceived the center after completing a three-year meditation retreat. Construction began in 1992, and by 1997, many renowned teachers visited Karuna. The center hosts regular meditation, yoga, and other retreats, promoting compassion and health. Karuna is dedicated to providing a peaceful environment for sentient beings.
